This new special exhibition is a showcase for artists who were not accepted into the 57th Delta Exhibition at the Arkansas Arts Center. A vast majority of the works entered were passed over and this is a chance for those artists to be recognized for their work. This show is inspired by the original 1863 Salon des Refusés held in Paris. Featured artists included Manet, Cezanne, Pissarro, and many others who are now widely recognized as masters of their time.
The Delta des Refusés will be held at the Argenta Branch of the William F. Laman Library in North Little Rock. Exhibition dates will be from Sept. 18th, 2015 – Oct. 16th, 2015. Opening Reception: Sept. 18th from 5 – 8 pm in conjunction with the Argenta Art Walk.
